Review

All of bourgeois London is high kicking and karate chopping after this dose of martial artiness and soppy romance. Exceptionally I was rather bored by it. Too little violence and too much cod oriental wisdom. It has a beautiful moment when they fight in the forest and balance on springy branches, but otherwise it is unengaging, one of my friends even claimed he fell asleep in it. Why is it so popular? Partly because of it's crossover appeal to fight fans, women, and people who like foreign films. Mostly because most films are so terrible and formulaic, that anything slightly out of the ordinary has the chattering classes chattering.
