Review

I nearly choked on my salmon bagel one morning when I read the most negative nasty review of this show in the Guardian by A. Searle. It is unprecedented for a reviewer to berate art for being a load of junk and silly ideas assembled in a public space unless they are B. Sewell. I must therefore presume that Searle is not related to, friends with, or expecting favours from, anyone involved in this challenging show . Searle also seemed understandably annoyed that these temporarily accommodated artists were not famous. It is easier to hate the unknown. I couldn't really see the difference between this show and most other shows except that noone seems to like this one. There are lots of crappy snaps downstairs arranged in a grid and some other bits of junk arranged in piles or some other way. Upstairs is someone's relocated office where a little newssheet is I think produced. In another gallery is a hot air balloon inflated by a bunsen burner and there are some old style computer prints or paintings. Japanese and Latin lessons are available. Ideas are welcomed. What's wrong everybody? You used to love this non-hierarchical, democratic, non-objective, art. Don't lose faith in it now.
