Having followed Pratt's career for a number of years, I was pleased to see her having a solo show in Cork Street. These abstract paintings are very worked, with startling surfaces, varnish pools, paint lumps, and sometimes bits hanging off. I cannot determine whether they are good or not. If she continues her preoccupation with paint effects they will become very boring, if she does something else they might be good.
