Agnes Martin is about 89. The best thing about being an artist is that you do not have to retire, unless you run out of money and have to find a job in marketing. The press release says these paintings "evoke that state of happiness in which we can perceive and experience the perfection within life." It may be right. Otherwise these paintings are very expensive pastel wallpaper.
