Review

I went to the ICA to see Scenes from the Second Floor, a surrealist tableauxistic film which from the bits I didn't sleep through seemed quite boring. This exhibition occupied me for the 15 minutes before the film started. I hate The ICA. It's a big waste of space in central London filled by pretentious trendies. The City Racing show was better than the film. Paul Noble's drawing of people misbehaving in a library is funny ( someone is on the top of a bookcase shitting). Gillian Wearings iterative masturbation photos,( Celine: sometimes masturbation is neither solace nor entertainment) are quite sexy. The rest of the show is fashionably scrappy and thin. Like the people looking at it.
