The British Election 2001

Labour: Slightly incompetent dogooders blessed with being in the right part of the economic cycle at the right time. Realising that the British people would always be reactionary conservative hypocrites, they founded newLabour, a party which pretends to be interested in social justice, but doesn’t actually do anything to achieve it, and is therefore very popular. Tony Blair is not ugly, short, bald or foreign and is therefore (d)electable.

Conservatives: Nasty xenophobes led by freaky twerp. Surprising they are not more popular given their ideology of taking from the poor to give to the rich, locking all foreigners and criminals up for ever, and keeping the mighty pound for five years. Hague is our uberman and would one day be President of the United States, were it not for his lack of American birth

Liberal Democrats: As one lady said “Why are you so self righteous?” No answer, but one suspects that their well known opportunism at local level, would translate to national level if they ever got a sniff of power. Charles Kennedy is very boring at being normal.
