Review

Bread and Roses a film shown in a few middle-class cinemas directed by Red Ken Loach

Absurd that I should have gone to see this. Who cares about immigrant cleaners in Los Angeles? This brilliant film disorients you. Is it possible that a director receives money to caricature society to this extent, does he really see everything so simplistically through his rose tinted lenses? I am sure it was funded by some bureaucratic European social democratic slush fund somewhere, all the trailers were for greenpeace and the like, Socialists are just as stupid as those Hollywood knuckleheads. Adrien Brody put in a charismatic performance as the trade union organiser, but let this film be a warning to all those dirty communists protesting against globalisation, we will all have to watch socialist realist propaganda like this and queue for cabbage if you get your way.
