QC, if a little chaotic in expression, is quite right in principle. There is, regrettably, a dearth of genuinely gifted entertainers in Britain today, not least of all since Ms. Dando's mysterious suicide. Now, with the unjust incarceration of a man who changed his name to 'Steve Majors'in the late 70's, pretended to be a highly skilled stuntman before bravely performing a live televised roller-skate leap across 4 London buses (which resulted, somewhat surprisingly, in a broken femur and dislocated vertebrae) the country is to be denied the skills of yet another popular, charismatic and talented celebrity. In finding a convicted - and self confessed - rapist, stalker and gun-obsessed schizophrenic with a history of violence towards women - guilty of this crime the Old Bailey jury has been incredibly selfish and short-sighted. I would like to speak at length with QC regarding funding and publicising Mr George's appeal. Britain will surely be a safer and more entertaining place once he is released....
