Review

Situated in the Hanley district, the unnofficial centre of this charmless Midlands resort, this hostel offers a bed and food to people "between dwellings". Friendly and caring staff provide constant attention and service, with an eye to any specialist substance abuse issues or other lifeskill defecits, tailored to modern living. Meals are at 8am, 4pm & 9pm and often include chips or similar fried potato treats.Yesterday I had an excellent piece of pork for lunch however the mashed potato had been over-aerated and thus lost some of it's solidity. Accomodation consists of single or double rooms. Break-ins are frequent and residents are advised to sell all their belongings fo heroin prior to arrival as that is what will happen anyway. Some of the staff are quite fit, especially Trina - who is tall blonde and from Denmark. All rooms command panoramic vistas of Stoke, including real-life 'Police vs. Pissed Up Stokies' Action. The area has a vibrant social scene and on Saturday held a traditional ethnic minority civil unrest incident, as is currently the flava throughout the UK. Persons wishing to book a room at The Granville are advised to develop health, financial, psykiatrick, substance misuse and social interaction problems to ensure the guarantee of definitely securing a reservation.
