It's like your own first kiss, maybe more exciting. Vicarious voyeurs, they know we're watching but can they stop themselves, and it all ends this week. It makes all the boredom worth something, if only they'd kiss then have sex. Boring and ugly they are, but but we need this for the nation. Better than Henman winning Wimbledon, or the Ashes, or the World Cup, our star crossed lovers doing it on tv. Helen is ready, but Paul hesitates, scared of Big G, or maybe he doesn't really love Helen. Kiss, please kiss. Destroy nihilism, make something happen. They belong to us, we have watched them so long, and so they must do it for us, in front of us.
