Review

Not the Northern working kids pumping sweatbox that your typical superior London visitor might expect; instead the most laid-back club around, seemingly a converted cinema or theatre on different levels with 'intimate' and indeed quite cosy areas on various levels within the main room and a juice bar and second large room. Not open however on this night, due to sparsity of attendace; possibly down to the student vacations and Love Weekend shenanigans drawing partygoers to Newcastle. However, the nicest bouncers you could imagine and strikingly superior DJs with a smooth but upbeat classy house sound mean you don't need a crowd to have fun, even when rooms and sections of the main room are gradually closed down as the night goes on; a club wehre you can talk? - why not. Bit pricey though, at 10 quid in (until 3am) and £3.30 for a bottle of cheap and nasty mass-produced beer. Its starting to look like the provinces are the most attractive part of the UK - I just couldn't get used to not suffering for my fun tho.
