Review

Went for the second time to this new restaurant in Soho, 12A Newburgh Street (off Carnaby St.). The menu at LA Trouvaille firstly caught my attention as they found inspiration in very old French cooking books and the dishes names are quite amusing (at least for a French person! ie: soups called "jus de gueux" or "la souplette"). The food is very French is quite nice. They do set lunches for less than £20.00 inc. cheese. We went for diner twice and both had lovely Scallops salads with a Vanilla vinaigrette. I had an excellent Aberdeen Angus filet/onglet? with swede chips and my friend had the grilled seabream with PAstis and celery Puree. Good selection of wines for good prices. Well, c'etait tres bon and I recommend it.
