A bad example of the genre.
Here's a pitch:
a raid goes wrong, cos of a grass
a police hostage is taken
copper knows that if he says nothing, he'll die - but if he tells on the grass, he'll die
so he has to keep feeding them bits of information, making up the story, to stay alive
Reservoir Dogs meets the Usual Suspects meets 1001 Nights.
Not very good, is it?
