Amongst the worlds of culture and couture, it is important to remember to feed the stomach too. If you're lucky enough to have escaped to Paris, and want to match the sites with tastes then have a treat at Le Vieux Bistro. Perhaps the only restaurant to have not allowed a Euro to creep onto their menu, and you can expect a similarly firm grasp on their dishes. Mussels in pools of garlic gravy, hot liver with a bacon crust and deserts that come with their own pitchers of cream... jovial & careful service makes an easy atmosphere... add wine and serve. (You'll find further details in the 2001 Time Out)
