Capitalism and postmodernism are both total ways of causing despair. They both appear to objectively describe the present, but postmodernism is just capitalism's pr department spinning us the line that all theories are relative, imperfect, and sujective so at to prevent us fighting the destruction of our possible humanity by its commidification. Or tell the person who works their life away or worse unworks, that there can be nothing that will ever satisfy them.
