Graz airport is only two hours by beautiful idyllic sound of music countyside to vienna, and seems to always have very cheap ryanair flghts available. train will cost you about 20 euros from graz to vienna/bratislava and then you can train to the world. Air/rail connections are poor so check carefully on the web at graz airport sight, best general rail timetable is www.db.de
The airport is pleasant and small with free internet access in the departure lounge and an ok duty free shop. They have built an ugly holding box for ryanair customers, where the smell of Brits queuing an hour before boarding can be overwhelming, stay in the noraml lounge as long as your airport waiting paranoia holds off.
