Shame 'ibid' can't string a sentence together: might be helpful when attempting future reviews. Shame, as well, that so many broadsheets concentrated on the painters in this year's show - not the best lot on offer, and no where near as interesting as David Cotterrell's haunting piece of hocus pocus, or Rachel Lowe's confusing ode to the dead. By far the most disappointing piece, 'Mixtape' (on more than one level) came from art-twit duo, Relph n' Payne: what a load of old cobblers, boys! No wonder they slung you out of school! Verdict: must try harder or (alternatively) must stop trying so hard.
