Seems like spending ones time doing tableaux vivants, designing gardens, and enlightening the local peasants would have been quite fun. The happy few faced the same problems more and more of us face today, the retired and the rich etc, what to do with all our leisure. Now that lives of art have become so much more cheap commerce, we must all be dilletantes.
