Eva Hesse at Tate Modern UK

Wasn't in the mood to engage with this work. It just appeared as stuff to me, never made my brain twitch in pleasure or anger. Her early Gorky paintings are easily processed: derivative and talented. Her mature work: nipples and materials and patterns. The bandaged frame with the loop is one I read about in The Telegraph as very good, so I pause to appreciate it but can't. I walk out the galleries as ignorant as I went in. Read on the final wall her family were Romanian?Jews, this tells me nothing but lies, but it will remain tagged to her as long as I live.
