Review

There were less of this week. Clearly Rick Nodine has quite a following. Last week there were so many fo us that we were rolling into one another. Of course, that's part of the fun. Today we exlored our spine movements. We kicked off with a little light wrestling, basically. This reminded me of cousin Jerry who did wrestling at school in Gremany where his father Milton was a serviceman in the US Army. On weekends they'd drive to antique fairs and make purchases. Pressing and resisting your partner. Then we moved to prssing a continuos 'S' shape into the very same partner. This instilled the 'S' feeling into you. After that we created a routine working on that shape from our fingertips right down to our feet. I particularly enjoyed this part as it gave me the faux-semblant feeling of being a dancer for the Imperial Court of Cambodia. We finished off with a routine, your partner emulating it, then you continuing it. My co-danseuse giggled at an intricate stage of encapsulating a movement. Dance does bring out the child in you.
