It's hard to find anywhere pleasant and not hideously expensive to eat a little lunch in London. The upstairs room here is light-filled and buzzy, making you feel you have escaped the dirty streets of Soho. My boar sausages and mash and buttery peas were not bad, like what I would have cooked at home. My friend's BLT seemed ok. The coffee, citron presses, and cakes, I had the chocolate mousse cake which was chocolatey as I desired, were all of a good standard as well. Nothing special, but stands out becasue everything is always so terrible in London. My mother says she went to a Patisserie Valerie in Covent garden which was awful.
