Review

Paintings in a line, not salon type of show as some could imagine possible. That's positive. Lots of paintings, some very good, none bad, but few surprises, to my view.

Babies in the project space, women in the larger space. It is the best installation of painting we have seen in the downstairs to the gallery, though simple, interests the viewer enough to turn around carefully looking.

Why should a painter surprise us? because he/she would look for challenges, would try to make things different and difficult to him/herself. This show is good, but all in one tune, no surprises but joy in the known, hoping the psychology would give difference. It doesn't work like that.

One historical aspect to this show is that these women have been observed through the eyes of a woman. And you feel that, and that is something refreshing, its women showing their bra to other women. But psychology there is little. there is surface.
