It wasn't that great a match because the result was never in doubt. Madrid substituted Ronaldo for God's sake. The Manchester goals were consolations to endear Beckman to his new club. A classic sporting contest must keep the result in doubt to the final minutes. United needed two goals at the end, as they had at the beginning. No tension, no history. Just an exhibition of great skill and some nice goals.
