The Everyman Cinema in Hampstead london

Review

This must be the most bourgeois cinema in the world. People take little metal trays of cappucinos and belgian chocolates into the actual movie theatre. The whole place looks like it was decorated by a particularly bad TV makeover team. Sort of knowing kitsch italian restaurant, paradiso and hell style. The seats cost eight pounds on a weeknight for a one screen local cinema. The audience looks as stereotypically Hampstead as everyone looks in Hampstead. Rich with glasses and a vacant air. You can get double love seats which were filled with smooching middle aged lovers of the worst sort, the kind of men who wear jeans with the sort of women they date.
