My favourite moment of the day occurred when Hussain, the emotional old captain with the snarl, and Vaughan, the sunnier new captain with the slightly stupid face, were batting together. England collapsed of course. Then Hussain dropped Smith, the pugnacious prodigy of South African captaincy, who went on to murder the toiling English bowlers. England have too many captains in the team. Bring back Thorpe and lets get a new captain.
