Review

Having shelled out £7 for a ticket, I expected free or cheap samples of wine and gourmet food, and probably to come away slightly tipsy and having ordered a few dozen too many bottles of the good stuff. Instead, I was directed into a large sand-covered hall, empty except for a small stage, a huge bar and a kiosk in the middle. I discovered I was to pay an extra £3 for an empty glass before I could sample any wines. I grudgingly did so, and took my pricey bit of glassware over to the bar. There, I was flabbergasted to discover that a small glass of Organic Red would cost me an additional £4! Nor would I even get a clean glass, since the organisers of this all-out con had covered all the angles and decided that washing up would be too much like hard work - my £3 glass would be recycled for the course of the event. Frankly, I was disgusted to be asked to pay £14 for a single glass at an event I had supposed was designed to give me samples & get me in a merry, buying mood! I was equally disgusted at Olympia for going along with this scam - they You should be ashamed of themselves.
