Summer's over in London; there may be a few odd days of clear sun to come, but the gray has started and won't go away for 10 long months. The light dims, the bank balance has not flourished in the hot weather, back to school, back to dismal work. Grind yourself down with tedious tasks and forget freedom and beauty; live in the cold cave of your fears. look outside at the carnival of normal activity, you must rejoin the human stream, and find out that on the inside the party is just the ceaseless labour of the unthinking. The summer is dead.
