you soon realise that new friends are as bad as the old ones. But the brief interlude before this discovery is made can be quite entertaining. Old friends, as with family, store old versions of yourself. New friends, possessing no more virtues than old ones, at least allow you to present new images of your personality; but soon you realise you cannot escape the old you.
