What is this site for?
It has a mix of reviews. Some are interesting, few are entirely stupid, most are very short.
A certain cynical clipped ironic style of reviewing with lots of descriptive words.
A few earnest eager-beaver style reviews.
It doesn't feel like a club, it doesn't feel particularly public - who are the reviews, and why are they doing it?
You wouldn't turn here for an authoritative view of a new book or film. You wouldn't come for a radical political view. You wouldn't come for polished prose. Short reviews are probably good for the internet.
Also, there are a huge huge amount of blank reviews of reviews at the bottom.
Last time I visited there were a bunch of animated photos that were quite good, what happened to them?
Where is the site going then?
