Review

What a dickhead! Dickens autobiographicalish Copperfield is 300 pages too long and too full of charming eccentric characters. I found mR micawber especially boring. There is that pedophilic element, copperfield's first wife even begs to be understood as his child wife. The women are all doey eyed pliant sweet beauties or ridiculous monsters. And the plot twists and turns, dashing hopes and raising them antically, with no effect but drawing out a tedious tale. On and on, the lovable common people, the gargoylish villians, etc, etc. Reader I am a reader and Dickens lost the plot on this one, his so-called favourite.
