Review

Taking refuge from a desolately warm mid-September day, i chanced upon this tucked away art gallery. A precious find indeed! A fine array of subtly drawn houses are re-inforced with a bold sense of colour. Pink houses are not a common feature of Englisg architecural design, even in these nether regions! There was enough to sing your heart by. Though the houses seemed cold and inhabited, they were very inviting. Maybe it's because I'm a Londoner, an east Londoner to be sure. Landscapes such as these instilled a fresh use of logic and serenity into my mind. Some paintings took a very un-predictable turn of meaning, others fit in more snugly with our conceptions and perceptions and periconfabulations. Others remained in anonymity. But they all earned good marks. By and large, the landscapes kept you guessing but a generally autumnal feel exuded from their acrylic pores. In fact, at the end of the ten paintings, you got the impression of recurring deja-vu; a candid emotion to feel in such peaceful surroundings.
