The male contraceptive, with a single injection men can now have sex without having to worry about the consequences. So what's so new about that? Women have always had to worry more about the consequences, simply because of the biological fact that they can get pregnant. The new drug poses, I think, a lot of questions...Women have been able to choose whether they want to have a baby, or not. Men can now choose whether they can impregnate, or not. Does this make things any better, one wonders. Fair enough, better than condoms in my book any day, but contraception, in the form of a pill, was a liberator for women, now men have more freedom on top of the freedom they had in the first place??? Am i the only one that thinks that somehow the equation does not balance somewhere? Fair enough, there may be fewer unwanted pregnancies, single mothers/fatherless babies...Maybe it is a good thing after all. But why is it that I have a feeling that this is a minus, rather than a plus point...Equality is good, choice is good, and maybe one day the boys will have babies too.
