kultur natten - 'culture night' was brilliant. galleries (including commercial), museums, churches and many sites of interest stay open until 23:00. Access is available to those who purchase a badge (for 65 kroners = 6 pounds) to any of these places, which is a great deal as many museums would charge that as their sole entrance fee.
there were loads of people about - families, teenagers and tourists...i thought that this was a great way to get the public involved and interested not only in the institutions but also the various artisans and designers that kept their exhibits open late as well. apparently this happens more than once a year. worth planning any trips around these nights.
