I wrote some time ago that The Royals are fucked because there is too much money around for them to buy the loyalty of their servants. Given the UK HRHs tendencies towards hauteur and contempt for common people, they are unlikely to keep below stairs schtum with their retainers love for them either. Phrases like what the butler saw, become more and more literalized every day of post modernity.
