I learnt what we all wanted to know, namely the eye patch. It was a blessing in disguise. Binoculars saved his brain. not his eye. They didn't talk about the Tintin character in Red Sea Sharks, called Piotr who was Estonian but am sure was modelled on him. Maybe a Tintin docu would elucidate this. Programme made me feel secure in that kind of 60s way Austin Powers does. Only this is for real, need I say. Lots of jolly songs. Picture of moustachioed conscript who died in '73 had me dreaming, his father was speaking. Must it be like this?
