I pressed return without meaning to.
I was saying it is raining today in Caracas but this rain has nothing to do with your hopeless long winter, here, tomorrow, it will be sunny, if you go to the coast now, 45 minutes drive (thatīs quite far for the standards) it is surely sunny there are mountains here and air and wind and things move move move. this is alive, it all seems new, even old rotten things, like democracy, all is fuelled by children, everything can change anytime, institutions that surprisingly remain for some ten years, smell of death very quickly, but even they survive, everything is alive even dead things There is a long and tall mountain here, this city is on a valley 1000 meters from sea level. the mountain infront reaches 2300 meters, and it is a national park, not built upon. This mountain is like the end of the long long andes that start at the end of the world, and this high mountain, called originally "guaraira repano" or today "cerro avila", separates in quite a healthy manner the 3m inhabitants of the city from the seaside. Therefore no shorts are worn in the city, no sandals and you see no tourists. this is a big country and the wild beautiful Caracas scares them all.
