The recent anti-Bush/Iraq occupation demonstrations had about a billion protesters. The Rugby world Cup piss parade has about 12 people watching as they shop in Oxford Street. So therefore the TV channels have wall to wall live coverage of the latter, and the protests are usually third item on the news, after sordid murder trials, and trapped dolphins.
