Mick Jagger once the rebel of the establishment, has received his knighthood by old Charlie boy in a ceremony at Buckingham Palace.
I personally think that these awards should be phased out - It's okay be knighted if you were a war hero or did something to help your community - but if you are stinking rich celeb and used to drown in drugs I think it is a waste of time. Being noted by the royals is old hat and a waste of public money. Okay, he feels part of the royal pomp now but what ever street cred he had has now gone.
So be a rebel Mick and give it back.
