Any connection between the coincidence of the wedding of bearded evil dictator Pavarotti in Modena. Iraq, and the capture of Mr S. Hussein, dandyish opera singer, near Tikrit, Italy? I believe justice will be done and Saddam the singing madman will record a well deserved Christmas number one. Pavarotti will also get his many just desserts ( and puddings) and be put on trial for crimes against wearing stage make-up in non-operatic contexts. Hurrah for the coalition, preachy prime ministers and straight talking presidents! We got opera!
