This Christmas, someone close to me has his Dad in hospital. May have suffered a stroke by the sounds of things, all he knows is that he woke up and found himself on the floor. Suspected cracked vertebra, more tests to follow. His son goes round to tidy his house, take clean clothes to the hospital and finds his present - lots of DVDs, yet to be wrapped. Son falls asleep while watching the films and puts off his visit til tomorrow. Hospitals apparently charge now for TV, one pound for 45 minutes. What else are you meant to do if you're in hospital on Christmas Day? I'd bought the shirt, wrapped the box and now I can't even wish him a Happy Christmas to go with it. Happy Christmas...never thought the words would be so loaded with meaning until something like this happens. Take care everyone.
