Review

Wool is probably having a period of lotsofmoneymaking dontthinkmuch we'll think later-time, and therefore there were scarryly beautiful paintings which do not by any means represent his normal behaviour as a painter. for example, there are spray marks using gray, not black paint anymore. PLUS then washed elegantly, -that is for me the main difference or meaningful detail: two years ago he was producing 'churros' (meaning lots of -- coming in a string) of paintings finished with black - cheapest - gloss spray marks.

that was also after his stencil - word - letter paintings, I am sorry to say that wool is not anymore a painter in black and white, painting screams like nauman videoed them, clowning falls, laughing loud for nobody about nobody, he does not seem to be anymore that beckettian repeater, that schizoid autistic fits enjoyer, he even seem to have a very good assistant nowadays. NONETHELESS I think he photographs the marks left by paint on the floor, then blows them up simply, not expensively no technically amazingly, and silkscreens them on canvas. that is quite a something advancing painting one step further towards the next series.
