A book set in Prague, fantastic dream. Over the top, what happens at 330am, this golem is better than Tolkien's silly creature. He is a little Dostoevsky mixed with some Kafka, combined with Meyrink's interests in the occult.
Read this book, it's strange perfume intoxicates, and obscures the horrible tourist inferno Prague is now, allowing one think of the ghetto fondly, which is another paradox.
