I also saw this film, in King's Lynn two weeks ago, but my reaction was not as positive as Mr. Chambers'. Somehow, I felt that the plot could have been less one-tracked and linear. The story could have included other anecdotes so as to make the film less predictable. Rather like my conversations. In fact, from the moment the replacement teacher character tore down the list of results from the wall, it was hard not to think of 'Dead Poets' Society'. Nonetheless, the film was enjoyable; the children were convincing to the point of nonchalance. Again, their characters were drawn along familiar lines. Have I too much for human nature?my comment is 'could do better'.
