For the fifth and sixth times I have wandered past Judd's difficult objects. Now and then, these days, I get the shudder or judder, the fear and trembling, of aesthetic pleasure. They become like a beloved city with the details sharper every time you walk through it. The warmth or combinations of colours can hit you with a big warm hit, still they question my assumptions of potential meaning.
Lesson for all my pupils ( eyes too): Look and look again at what you don't understand, but that which others admire.
