I have tried to read this pinky purple covered book three times. It is simply not as good as the tropics or nexus/plexus/sexus. I am reading about Black Spring in Anais Nin's very good diaries ( a selection entitled Fire) whicj makes me interested in it because Anais keeps saying how good it is. Then I pick it up and find it unreadable. I am in the pinball machine of the minds of these two writers.
