Review

A wealth of restaurants says the Anglesey websites and guides books - freshly cooked food straight from the sea, certainly the Amlwch Port fish and chip shop that we resorted too after a 50 mile trek to find the best restaurants money can buy - wasn't the answer we were hoping for. You would think that all the fishing would produce a nice piece of cod but no - the woman told us it's come from another source somewhere else.

The guide book says "The Island is blessed with many excellent restaurants, pubs and inns where you can savour quality local produce.

I don't think so - How about "The Island is blessed with two good restaurants to cater for more people on the Island that we can't feed at Easter, Pubs owned by one chain that produce microwave meals and stink of fags and Inns that are working class and the villagers hate your guts!

The answer is eat as much as you can in the B+Bs and perhaps eat at lunch rather at the evening.

Anglesey is a beautiful place to visit and a excellent resort to feel spiritual BUT needs stylish pubs, restaurants to cater for middle class adults.

Always bring a pack lunch to enjoy Anglesey.
