A very pleasant locale tucked away just above Clapham, if my geography isn't too dire. That's the way we came by car with my drumming friend Roderick or Rocco, as his stage name goes. He pointed out the picaresque streets he had lived in along the way. We went to meet another drummer, of Argentine persuasion in the above-mentioned bar. Rod and him talked shop. We looked around the square which had a decidedly continental feel. It was easy to park, and the public houses were cafesque. A young boy in a tracksuit was speaking in high-pitched tones. French, is after all, a high-pitched language. All of us got chatting to a couple who had come in with their dog. He was the man to ask about stalking. He wrote the bill on that area of law which was passed in Parliament. Before that we talked about Argentina, Arthur's collar which someone had once stolen off him in a shop. The wife most kindly invited me and Roderick for a beverage. I chose Sol beer. Basically, famous people don't like talking about their fame, at least if they come to a tucked away charming cafe-bar in Battersea, all the way from Chelsea. So I lost the man of law. But I did learn that stalking derives from a lack of discipline as do many sins, so get to work!
