Review

Meet at Mario's next to one of Nottinghill Gate's prize cinemas (they have 2 "alternative" cinemas to be proud of, they are of course educated and sophistocated people greedy for good film, just along the road is "video city", which boasts of being the world's best video shop. We can believe them in Nottinghill Gate the worlds best London area, part of the Royal Bourough of Kensington and Chelsea, home of the Queen, second cheapest borough for council tax). Mario's is a small smelly place. The owner Mario is a friendly man, a cheek pinching Italian, a happy man till the hour of 7 when customers are ousted. The food is cheap and sometimes good. The tea is PG tips. The customers are friends. The apple pie is a good tea time treat. The toilet is out of bounds, though friendly cook and exposure to the staff will earn customers access to this facility. On a sunny day sit out side and risk unfortunate collisions with the fearsome members of the Nottinghill community as they move around their patch, culturing themselves with film and food. To be continued.
