Review

The countryside of Cheshire is one to visit for walks like the Sandstone trial, Delamere forest and historic attractions like Beeston Castle. Not far from Beeston just off the Whitchurch Road is a small village calle Tattenhall.

The Sportmans Arms is in the heart of Tattenhall - a pleasant pub with a friendly atmosphere. The menu is hearty and lots of goodies to fill out you stomach after a hard days Sandstone trial walk. An excellent venue to sit and unwind with a pint of ale and a meal fit for a soldier ready for battle. The food is well priced and their best meal to my standards is the giant mixed grill not for the faint hearted (Vegies beware - red meat and chicken rule the pub). This massive plate is heaving with meat, salad and chips a true Cheshire feast.
