Plas Teg Hall, located on the A541 near Hope Mountain, North Wales. Plas Teg is one of the spookiest houses in the UK - but the owners are not so inclined to boast about it's weird encounters these days.

The history of the house name drops The Infamous Judge Jeffries who sentenced criminals to the hanging room. There was a trap door in which the bodies dropped through, to be collected later through a small side door by the relatives.

The house has many splendid historical facts like; The main staircase was made from original timber off a ship from the Spanish Armada it is beautifully carved. Also, In the main room there is a fireplace with a symbol carved into the under panel to ward off evil spirits. Above the fireplace is dominated by a painting of Medusa, painted by pupil of Rhubens.

The National Trust does not own this house so it has an air of the unusual and possibly eccentric quality.

The house is usually open to visitors in the summer on Sunday afternoons. But the house can be cold so bring a coat.
